This is why we're passionate about Train Effective camps. We limit places to a set number of players so everyone has an equal, exceptional experience, and of course - so each player can get the feedback they need to improve.

My Story

So we've all been there. Played on a team, went to a training session, or went to a camp/event where the coach(es) seem uninterested and are uninvolved. Let's dive a little deeper and also look at INVOLVED coaches.

Uninvolved - You arrive at an open trial with 100-150 players. You don't know anyone, don't know the coaches, but they say that they'll be picking a couple of players for their first team. The next 2 days, they sit and watch from tents while players play in small sided games on 4 different pitches.

Involved - You arrive and get to meet coaches personally in a more exclusive environment. No more than 30 players (similar to training with a new team,)  coaches are active in training sessions by performing drills and demonstrating standards, and are leading the session closely.

3 benefits of involved coaches:

1. Feedback
=> When performing in front of coaches who are active in the session, you'll get instant feedback on things that need to be fixed in your game. Often, these coaches will step into sessions and make corrections for everyone and individuals as needed.

2. Inspiration
=> Let's be honest - when coaches do exercises and drills with us, or show us how it's done, it's a bit inspiring! This always lifts players' spirits rather than a coach who is uninvolved.

3. A Better Opinion
=> As for individual feedback, coaches who see you closely can give more honest, critical feedback on what you need to improve. If you're one of 150 players, coaches cannot physically give every player the same, honest feedback.
